The Grant Lab

When Susan Taylor founded The Grant Lab in 2021, she sought a visual identity reflecting her dedication to service, expertise in grant funding, and commitment to elevating organizations. With nearly 20 years of grant writing experience, Susan knew firsthand the strategic power of funding to create change.

Now was her chance to focus full-time on empowering organizations through targeted, impactful grants. To convey The Grant Lab's mission, Susan needed a logo that felt genuine yet signaled mastery. She hoped the new identity would capture her spirit of uplifting communities to new heights of success.

Exploring concepts related to revelation and growth, we created a logo featuring an open shell shape. Inside, a pearl symbolizing wisdom doubled as a rising sun – illuminating the path upward. Rays extended to mountain peaks, overcoming challenges through persistence. This compact design reflected Susan’s integrated strategic approach to grant writing.

The logo visualized the journey of seeking grants, surmounting obstacles, and achieving funding breakthroughs for clients. Finalizing the mark's friendly typography and color palette completed a versatile identity system poised for strategic growth. Susan remarked that it brilliantly captured The Grant Lab's essence and impact.

Like crafting a compelling proposal, an on-target brand identity requires grasping the core drivers. For The Grant Lab, we uncovered that pearl – an insightful identity elevating their vision and empowering client success.
